After a memorable appearance alongside stars Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, they had signed with A&M Records. The Pussycat Dolls released their first single, "Don't Cha," in April of 2005.
As the song, which featured Busta Rhymes, climbed the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, The Pussycat Dolls Lounge opened in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. By the late summer of 2005, the Pussycat Dolls were putting the final touches on their debut album, called PCD.
